Life takes strange twists and turns, and the past three weeks have been twistier than usual.Looking at my situation from the outside, things look pretty dire. Being basically homeless at my age is no fun at all.
It’s been an emotional roller coaster - both exhilarating and exhausting. Lots of driving, visiting and sightseeing plus digging into old memories.
It was quite a mission, but the drive was great. I had forgotten how beautiful the blue highways are in this part of the world. I am usually on a mission and go on the freeways, but the idea of driving I5 was daunting, as I hate all the huge trucks. So taking the less-traveled roads was well-worth the extra couple of hours.
It’s all coming together. The road trip to Washington and Montana is shaping up with a minor hiccup to handle before I take off.
Planning a trip up to the Pacific Northwest and Montana this summer. Not sure whether to go to Montana first or on the way back. Decisions, decisions…
